Basic earnings per share is computed using the weighted average number of shares of common stock outstanding during the period. Diluted earnings per share of common stock is computed by using the weighted average shares of common stock outstanding, including the dilutive effect of restricted shares based on an average share price during the period. For the purpose of calculating basic and diluted earnings per share, net income(loss) attributed to non-controlling interest and the corresponding preferred shares outstanding are excluded from the calculations. For the three and six months ended June 30, 2024, 13,143 and 23,427 unvested performance stock units were not included in the calculation of the potential dilutive common shares, respectively, because to do so would be anti-dilutive. For the three and six months ended June 30, 2023, there were no anti-dilutive shares.
